Identita’ Golose has gone to Manhattan again, two weeks after Identita’ London, to celebrate the second edition of Identita’ New York. Eataly is once again the location of the events, like last year, but the proposed formula of cooking demonstration is a little different.
This year everything is related to the number 6: six Italian chefs and six American chefs, six cooking lessons and six wine lessons that will be leading up to the great dinner organized on Tuesday the 1st of November at the Birreria (Eataly 15th floor).
Massimo Bottura and Mario Batali, same initials and same passion for New York and the adrenaline of this great city, opened the kermesse. The did it proposing two recipes based on the same ingredient: ricotta. The Italian chef explained how to “compress” a Sicilian cannolo in a raviolo and the Amerian chef showed how to cook the classic recipe of ricotta ravioli with mussels sauce. They also combined their magic skills on a Sour Cherry Sorbet.
The cooking classes are presented by Ben Leventhal, Pavia Rosati and Kate Krates. While Alessandra Rotondi and Cinzia Benzi present the wine classes celebrating Allegrini, Antinori, Bastianich, Ferrari, Frescobaldi, Fontanafredda Mirafiore, Lungarotti.
In syntesis: two days of Grande Italia through food and wine!
